Chelsea transfer news: Why Christian Pulisic deal is 'good sign for the future’ for Blues
CHELSEA signing Christian Pulisic just strengthens a core of top young talent at Stamford Bridge, claims former Everton midfielder Leon Osman.
Pulisic has joined Chelsea from Borussia Dortmund for a fee of around £57.5million.
The USA international will spend the rest of this season on loan at Dortmund before returning to the Blues in the summer.

For a 20-year-old, Pulisic has already stacked up a number of appearances for the German side.
Since joining in 2015 as a 16-year-old, the winger has played 115 times for Dortmund in all competitions, scoring 15 goals.
I like what they’re doing, trying to identify top, young talent and making sure they can bring them to their club
Osman is impressed with the signing and believes it was the right call to loan Pulisic back to Dortmund.
And the pundit admits the signing just adds to a number of young stars already at Chelsea.
“I like what they’re doing, trying to identify top, young talent and making sure they can bring them to their club,” Osman said on Sky Sports.
“They did that with [Ross] Barkley, [Callum] Hudson-Odoi is coming through, [Ruben] Loftus-Cheek is progressing nicely.
“So they’re getting a real core of youth at Chelsea and I think it’s a really good sign for the future.
“I wouldn’t think they do [need Pulisic right now], not immediately.
“There’s a lot of competition for places with Chelsea at the moment.
“If he was a striker, a centre-forward right through the middle of the pitch I would say ‘yeah it’s probably ideal to bring him in now’.
“But at the moment he’s still a young man, he’s getting an awful lot of football out in Germany.
“He’s played quite a number of games for a young man as well, goals, assists.
“So his career, his development is going quite nicely at the moment.
“If Chelsea think he is progressing there they’ll keep him there and once he comes in at the start of next season it will be all systems go.”
