Man Utd news: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer deserves credit for transforming THIS player
MANCHESTER UNITED caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer “deserves a great deal of credit” for Paul Pogba’s improvement in recent weeks.
That is the opinion of Arsenal legend Martin Keown.
The Norwegian was appointed United boss until the end of the season following Jose Mourinho’s sacking last week.
Old Trafford had become the Theatre of Nightmares in Mourinho’s last few months, as the 55-year-old’s divisive nature intoxicated the club.
Solskjaer, on the other hand, has been a breath of fresh, taking to the helm with pride and putting smiles back on faces at Carrington.

The 45-year-old, dubbed The Baby-Faced Assassin for his adolescent features, has vowed to restore the values of Manchester United, such a promoting youth and playing attacking football.
With convincing wins over Cardiff and Huddersfield in his first two games, Solskjaer is doing is fine job of that so far.
Key to both of those wins has been Paul Pogba, registering two goals and as many assists under the new management.
The adventure and bravado with which the Frenchman played against Huddersfield was a long cry from the maligned “virus” that struggled under Mourinho’s management.
Solskjaer deserves a great deal of credit for bringing about this improvement
Keown never doubted the World Cup winner’s talent, but believes Solskjaer deserves adulation for rediscovering Pogba’s swagger.
Asked on MailOnline whether he was surprised by Pogba’s transformation under Solskjaer, the three-time Premier League winner replied: “Not in the slightest.
“But Solskjaer deserves a great deal of credit for bringing about this improvement.
“It was obvious from the outside what needed to change at Manchester United.
“They needed someone who would put smiles back on faces and get the players enjoying what they do once more.
“That is how Solskjaer leads his life. He loves the game and wants everyone else to have the same enjoyment.”
