Arsenal EXCLUSIVE: ‘He is a manager’s dream’ - Alan Smith raves about one Gunners star
ARSENAL midfielder Lucas Torreira is a manager’s dream and has taken the Premier League by storm.
That is the verdict of legendary Arsenal centre-forward Alan Smith, who is a huge fan of the 22-year-old.
Torreira joined Arsenal from Sampdoria in the summer for a fee of around £26million.

He has become an instant favourite with the Emirates faithful who were crying out for a midfielder of his ilk.
He scored his first goal for the club in the north London derby win over Tottenham earlier this month and netted again a week later to secure a late 1-0 victory over Huddersfield.
He’s that kind of dogged midfielder that loves getting his foot in, he loves the ugly side of the game
The Uruguay international played a huge part in the Gunners’ 22 game unbeaten run that was finally ended by Southampton.
Smith has been seriously impressed by the quality of Torreira on the ball and with his terrier-like style.
But he claims the midfielder’s attitude is what makes him a dream for head coach Unai Emery.
“He’s been great,” Smith told Express Sport.
“He’s that kind of dogged midfielder that loves getting his foot in, he loves the ugly side of the game, scurrying about, breaking up play.
“He’s also quite progressive in his passing, always looks to try and pass it forward.
“His attitude is wonderful, he’s up for the fight.
“The Premier League hasn’t caught him off guard in any way, I think its intensity suits his character.
“They say he’s a great all-round lad, comes in, never any trouble, good trainer.
“He’s always up for the challenge and that’s a manager’s dream.”
Arsenal are next in action on Boxing Day when they visit Chris Hughton’s Brighton (5.15pm).
