Man Utd team news HINT: Two star men return for Jose Mourinho against Liverpool
MANCHESTER UNITED face Liverpool in the big game of the weekend - and could have a number of key players back from injury.
Jose Mourinho was sweating on the fitness of nine players during the week.
He rotated his side against Valencia in the Champions League, resting several key men, in the defeat in Spain.
Manchester United missed the chance to overtake Juventus, who also lost to Young Boys, and finished second in the group.
But they're back in league action today and take on Liverpool at Anfield.
And Mourinho has been given a boost with the return of Anthony Martial and Victor Lindelof from injury layoffs.
Luke Shaw and Chris Smalling also travelled after knocks.
Lindelof has been out for three weeks and wasn't expected back this soon, so may not be ready to start today's game but is expected to be in the squad after being seen travelling to Merseyside.
Martial missed the Fulham and Valencia games after coming off against Arsenal in the 2-2 draw.
Moreno: Mourinho could set Pogba up to fail against Liverpool
However it looks like Fred may have been left at home after photographers could not spot the £52m summer signing.
Mourinho was coy over the injuries on Friday.
"The latest is to tell you again that in Valencia only De Gea and Matic were available to play and didn't travel by decision," Mourinho said.
"Apart from that, the players that didn't travel were not fit to play in Valencia, all of them had injuries and they were not ready.
"All of them didn't train yesterday again and today they will be a little, I don't want to say [a] test, but a little introduction to training to see the answer, adaptation and to see if we can increase a little bit tomorrow to have them for Sunday.
"But for sure, I hope, is better not to say for sure, I hope some will be available but for sure some will not be."
