Man Utd news: ‘He’s good enough for Liverpool and Arsenal - but United would be better'
WATFORD midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure is good enough for any of the so-called Premier League top six - but would only be a regular starter at Manchester United.
He is good enough to play for Man United in my opinion, all day long
Paul Merson on Watford star Abdoulaye Doucoure
He says Doucoure is the type of player who goes under the radar when playing for a smaller side such as Watford.
And he reckons he has seen enough to convince him the 25-year-old would be a regular for Manchester United.
“Torreira at Arsenal, he’s getting great accolades,” Merson said.
“This lad [Doucoure] doesn’t really get mentioned because he’s at Watford.

“If he went to one of the top-six teams he would get mentioned.
“I’m trying to think where he couldn’t go in the top six if I’m being honest.
“Even Man City as a squad player, Arsenal you’d take him all day long.
“Tottenham I don’t see why not, even Liverpool. Liverpool I think need more midfield players.
