Juventus news: Why was Cristiano Ronaldo overlooked by Bayern Munich?
JUVENTUS went all-out during the summer to land Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid, but why did Bayern Munich not make a move?

The former Real Madrid forward enjoyed an outstanding career in Spain, picking up plenty of silverware and smashing tons of records.
But despite being 33 years of age, Cristiano Ronaldo was keen to embark on a new challenge.
It led to a move to Serie A giants Juventus who see Ronaldo as the key to delivering success in the Champions League.
There’s no doubt the Portuguese star would’ve had his pick of clubs around the world but he was determined to prove he could still cut it at the very top.
"I'm different from other players who think their careers are over when they're my age," Ronaldo said when he arrived in Turin.
"I want to show that I'm not like the others, I'm different.
"Players of my age go to China or Qatar so coming to such an important club at this stage in my career makes me very happy."
Ronaldo has made a blistering start to life at Juventus, scoring 10 goals and making six assists in his first 14 league games.

Why did Bayern Munich opt out of Cristiano Ronaldo transfer?
Ronaldo’s move to Juventus set the club back £100million.
But unfortunately for Bayern Munich fans, club president Uli Hoeness felt that was too much money for a player of his age.
"We would have paid that amount for him with our eyes closed if he was 24 years old but he's 33," Hoeness told Bild.
Juve, though, already appear to be reaping the rewards given the forward’s impressive start.
And their decision to bring Ronaldo to Turin has been backed further given the results of his medical.
It emerged that the physical state of the Real Madrid legend resembles that of a 20-year-old.
The medical results showed that Ronaldo has 7% body fat, with 10-11% being the average for professional footballers.
He also has a muscle mass of 50%, exceeding that of the average professional which is usually around 46%.
Ronaldo also clocked a top speed of 33.98km/h during the World Cup in Russia, which was quicker than anyone else at the tournament.
