Arsenal news: Clattenburg talks Man Utd mistake, Emery on Kolasinac error, Adams regret
ARSENAL news is coming thick and fast following their 2-2 Premier League draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford. Express Sport brings you all the latest from the Emirates with Mark Clattenburg, Unai Emery, Sead Kolasinac and Tony Adams all featuring.
Clattenburg on Arsenal and Man Utd mistake
Former Premier League referee Mark Clattenburg believes Manchester United striker Anthony Martial’s goal against Arsenal on Wednesday night should not have stood.
He told the Daily Mail: “Manchester United’s equaliser should have been disallowed for offside.
“Ander Herrera’s head was in an offside position when Marcos Rojo struck the free-kick.
“When the shot was saved, Herrera ran on to the loose ball and pulled it back for Anthony Martial to score.
“With the benefit of VAR, this goal would not have stood but it is still disappointing that Scott Ledger, the assistant referee, got it wrong.”
Emery on Kolasinac error
Unai Emery has insisted he did not criticise Kolasinac in private after his error for Arsenal against Manchester United.
"I am not frustrated," he said.
"At the end Kolasinac had his head looking down and I said to Sead you had a very good match and you gave us a lot of good circumstances where we could have scored with your actions – these things can happen in defence.
"These things can happen and above all be positive and learn with this action."
Adams disappointment
Tony Adams has expressed his frustration at Arsenal’s failure to beat United at Old Trafford.
The former Gunners star said: “A catalogue of errors from both teams.
“I think Arsenal are a little bit unlucky for me not to come away with all three points.
“Man United were there for the taking for me today.
“But 20 games undefeated Arsenal, happy days.”
