Man Utd vs Arsenal: The ONE reason Gunners will beat Jose Mourinho’s side - Robson
ARSENAL’s intensity under Unai Emery will be far too much for Manchester United.
That is according to ESPN FC pundit and former Arsenal midfielder Stewart Robson.
Emery’s side visit Old Trafford on Wednesday evening as favourites in many people’s eyes.
Arsenal are unbeaten in their last 19 matches in all competitions and go into the game off the back of a stunning 4-2 north London derby win over Tottenham on Sunday.
The Gunners currently occupy fourth in the Premier League table and can leapfrog Chelsea with a win over United if the Blues do not beat Wolves.
Have we seen Manchester United play with intensity this season?. I don’t think we have
United’s form is a complete contrast to their opponents, having lost four of their first 14 games of the league season.
Jose Mourinho’s struggling side are eighth in the table, eight points behind Arsenal and a massive 19 adrift of rivals Manchester City at the top.
Arsenal have not won a league game at Old Trafford since 2006.
But Robson can see a positive change in his former side under Emery and he does not think United have the intensity to stop them.
“Have we seen Manchester United play with intensity this season?” Robson said.
“I don’t think we have. Arsenal are going to play with intensity.
“It used to be a game where Manchester United said ‘we’re going to roll our sleeves up, Arsenal won’t have the heart or the fight, we’ll turn them over’.
“Not this time, I think Arsenal will win the game.”
United’s Ashley Young and Arsenal’s Granit Xhaka will miss Wednesday’s game due to suspension.
The hosts also have a number of injury doubts heading into the clash.
Arsenal club captain Laurent Koscielny will not be part of the squad but is close to a first-team return after a lengthy spell out with an Achilles injury.
Mesut Ozil did not travel with the Arsenal squad that flew to Manchester on Wednesday.
