But Redknapp believes that is the one big issue Emery has addressed in his six months in charge.
“I think he’s changed the mentality of Arsenal,” he said.
“I think in the last few years they’ve been soft.
“How many times have we spoken after [games] that they’ve got no strength in the midfield, no players that want to win the ball back?

“Too many times we’d just see teams overrun them, overpower them.
“The game at Bournemouth last year, for the winning goal I can remember [Granit] Xhaka getting someone run off the back of him and scoring, I think it was Callum Wilson.
“They’re the sort of things that can’t happen but were happening time and time again under Arsene Wenger.
“And there’s no doubt they are more resilient, they are stronger.

“I still think there is a long way to go, top four is still going to be a big ask for them.
“But I like what I see, I think the manager’s got them going, he’s got them more aggressive, they get to the ball more.
“That’s what you’ve got to do if you want to win any sort of title.”
Arsenal are next in action on Thursday when they visit Vorskla in the Europa League, before the first north London derby of the season against Tottenham at the Emirates next Sunday.
