Man Utd news: Brutal Marcus Rashford to Real Madrid verdict delivered by ESPN pundit
MARCUS RASHFORD is simply not good enough to play for Real Madrid as he hasn’t delivered enough at Manchester United.
Marcus Rashford needs to ‘sharpen up’ says Vinnie Jones
That is the verdict of former Arsenal midfielder-turned-pundit Stewart Robson.
Recent reports have suggested that Juventus are eyeing a deal for the Manchester United attacker and have already made their own enquiries.
Other claims have emerged that Real Madrid are weighing up a £50million bid for the 21-year-old.
Rashford has come under criticism this term and has failed to nail down a central striking berth with up front being his preferred position.
And Robson doesn’t envisage Rashford earning himself a move to the Bernabeu.
“He’s got great pace and great potential, but he doesn’t understand the game at the moment,” Robson said.
“He hasn’t learned too much under Mourinho by the looks of it and he hasn’t always started.
“Have they found the best position for him?
I still don’t think he’s good enough to play for Real Madrid at the moment
“He’s played better for England than Manchester United.
“But I still don’t think he’s good enough to play for Real Madrid at the moment.
“I haven’t seen an improvement over the past two years.
“He was more intelligent with his movement two years ago, but now I see a player who wants to prove himself and makes bad decisions on the ball.”
United return to Premier League action at home to Crystal Palace on Saturday (3pm).
The Red Devils are eighth in the table, 12 points adrift of league leaders Manchester City.
