Stewart Robson on Borussia Dortmund ace Julian Weigl
Donaldson said the midfielder could be a replacement option for Aaron Ramsey, who is set to leave the Gunners for free upon the expiry of his contract next summer.
“He’s a good defensive midfielder, Julian Weigl,” Donaldson said.
“Do Arsenal need him to maybe play alongside Torreira to replace Ramsey?”
But Robson pointed out Arsenal boss Unai Emery has already brought in two defensive midfielders in his short tenure at the club.

Lucas Torreira joined from Sampdoria for around £26million, with young Frenchman Matteo Guendouzi arriving from Lorient.
“Well Ramsey’s not getting in the side,” Robson replied to Donaldson.
“So they’ve got [Granit] Xhaka, they’ve got Guendouzi as well, they’ve got Torreira as you said. Weigl is a good player.
