Things are happening at City that just aren’t at United
Alan Smith on Man City and Man Utd
Manchester United were on the wrong end of City on Sunday, losing 3-1 at the Etihad.
It was the Red Devils’ fourth league defeat already and they currently find themselves in eighth place, 12 points behind City.
Guardiola has received huge praise for the improvement he has made in some of his players since he became Manchester City boss in 2016.
England international Raheem Sterling has enjoyed a fine couple of years at club level and has already scored eight goals this season.

Smith says the progress in Sterling is indicative of the quality of Guardiola as a coach.
And he claims there is no sign of that kind of thing happening at United with Mourinho.
“The contrast with Guardiola is striking,” Smith said on The Debate.
“When you think of Raheem Sterling, the way he’s brought him on as a player.
