And Upson believes Arsenal’s good run of form is down to Emery, having changed the mentality of the team.
Speaking on BBC's Football Focus, Upson said: "I've seen an identity and the speed in which he's achieved that is very, very quick.
“He’s come in and had a really big impact on the players, not so much in terms of them tactically or technically, but on their behaviour, the demands and discipline he expects from them.
”They're just a lot more solid, you don't see them drop as much as you used to.

"But on the same side you don't see the peaks that you saw with Arsene Wenger - the free--flowing football hasn't quite been there, but the results have been good."

But talkSPORT host Adrian Durham was not impressed.
“Arsenal – a club that gets special treatment from the media, gets special treatment from the football authorities like the Premier League,” he raged.
“They love Arsenal. Why do they love Arsenal? Because they’ve got a big social media following and they can all latch onto it.
