Five minutes after Leeds had scored their second goal, Wigan broke out of their half.
Josh Windass found himself in a one-on-one with Leeds defender Pontus Jansson and what happened next was a fantastic display of desire by Leeds.
Six players sprinted back to help out the Swedish international and ultimately disposed the Wigan player.
Jansson took to social media after the game to praise the display and credited Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa for the new ethos he has instilled at the club.
“This video says says everything about this team,” Jansson said on Twitter.
“Last year we looked at each other and expected the teammate to run home.
“This year if you don’t run home you gonna hear it from everyone!
“Fantastic atmosphere and support once again, felt like home!”

Bielsa, the former manager of the national teams of Argentina and Chile, has received plaudits for his approach to the game, in which he demands a high-energy performance and pressing tactics.
After the match the 63-year-old insisted his side are better when they are in possession of the ball.
“When we have possession it increases our self esteem because one of our goals is to prevent the opponent having the ball,” Bielsa said.
“If we can prevent the opponent from making too many passes and recover the ball from the third or fourth pass we feel safer and the opponent loses confidence.
“The opponents couldn’t rely on their attacking players who are usually dangerous.”
