Chelsea news: Eden Hazard’s brother makes Real Madrid January transfer claim
CHELSEA star Eden Hazard will not leave Stamford Bridge for Real Madrid in January.
That’s according to his brother, Thorgan Hazard.
The Chelsea star was tipped to join Real Madrid in the summer, however, the Blues refused to sell the Belgium international.
Hazard publicly revealed his admiration for the Spanish giants, putting Real on red alert.
Maurizio Sarri convinced Hazard to remain at Chelsea until at least January, with the winger impressing under the new Blues boss.
I think Eden will see what happens at the end of the season
And Hazard’s brother Thorgan, who quit Stamford Bridge for Borussia Monchengladbach in 2015, says the Chelsea star will not join Real in January.
“Eden made the right decision to stay at Chelsea,” Thorgan told Belgian newspaper HLN.
“Chelsea weren’t keen on selling him and he had a strong start of the season.
“Real Madrid are in a complex period.
Eden Hazard not fit to play 90 minutes says Maurizio Sarri
“They sacked their manager, key players left. They have to rebuild.
“I think Eden will see what happens at the end of the season. I know him. He’s not thinking about a move right now.
“He will give everything for Chelsea. He doesn’t want a clash with his club either.
“If he ever leaves, he will play it correctly.”
Hazard revealed earlier this season he may need to join Real in order to win the Ballon d’Or.
“That’s why I want to go, maybe,” said Hazard with a smile, when asked if he needs to be in La Liga to win the prestigious award.
However, when asked if that move could happen in January, Hazard added: “No.”
Hazard came off the bench to spark Chelsea to a 3-1 win against Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.
