Arsenal news: Liverpool transfer backed, injury CRISIS revealed, bold Merson prediction
ARSENAL news - Express Sport is on hand to bring you all the latest rumours and gossip coming out of the Emirates.
Liverpool deal backed
Liverpool should sign Arsenal key man Aaron Ramsey as he would help the Reds challenge for the Premier League title, Gunners hero Paul Merson claims.
“If Liverpool want him they might as well do a deal now. He would fit in there and he would help them challenge for the title,” he told the Daily Star.
“Manchester City are a much stronger, deeper team than Liverpool at the moment, but Ramsey could help change that.
“Whoever gets him will be getting a very good player. He makes good runs, scores goals, and has the vision to pick a pass.”
Injury crisis
Arsenal are in the middle of an injury crisis heading into their Premier League clash with Liverpool.
Unai Emery has fitness problems and his squad could be exposed by Liverpool, with Arsenal published the full list of injury issues for the week on their official website.
Six defenders are of concern: Nacho Monreal, Sead Kolasinac, Hector Bellerin, Sokratis, Laurent Koscielny and Konstantinos Mavropanos.
While Mohamed Elneny is out and Matteo Guendouzi is suspended.

Merson prediction
Liverpool will run riot against Arsenal this evening, Paul Merson claims.
Merson told Sky Sports: “I can't see anything but a Liverpool win.
“I think this is the day Arsenal show some big cracks.
“I just think the defence is terrible, all over the place, and no different to what it was before.
“If Hector Bellerin is injured, you're talking about Granit Xhaka at left-back, a central midfield player, and Stephan Lichtsteiner at right-back, who has been a good player but is nearly 35 now.
“I just cannot see how Arsenal will live with them.
“People will say: 'Oh Arsenal will score goals...' but Liverpool's defence has been superb.
“I watched Arsenal win 11 games on the trot, and they could have easily lost four of them, let alone drawn them. 1-3.”
