Who should I captain in FPL GW9?
Benjamin Mendy (Manchester City) vs Southampton (H)
Manchester City boast some superb captaincy candidates this week with both David Silva and Sergio Aguero sure to be handed the armband by thousands of bosses.
However, Southampton’s deficiencies in front of goal may tempt managers to back Mendy as they look for both defensive and attacking returns.
Gylfi Sigurdsson (Everton) vs Brighton & Hove Albion (H)
Sigurdsson is in excellent form with four goals in his past four matches and a bonus point last week at Old Trafford.
The Icelandic international’s set-piece prowess is another incentive to hand him the armband.
TOP CHOICE: Eden Hazard (Chelsea) vs Crystal Palace (H)
Hazard has missed Chelsea’s past three matches due to a back injury but has returned to training and is expected to feature from the off against the Eagles.
The Belgian had seven goals in seven matches before being sidelined and there is no reason why he can’t pick up where he left off at Stamford Bridge.
