Arsenal tell Aaron Ramsey contract offer will not be made, ace to leave on free transfer
ARSENAL have told Aaron Ramsey he will not be offered a new deal and the midfielder is set to leave the Emirates on a free transfer at the end of the season, reports claim.
Sky Sports claim Arsenal have now told Ramsey in person that he will not be offered a new contract.
Ramsey was believed to have originally found out Arsenal’s proposal had been taken off the table via his agent.
And he was miffed that nobody from the club had informed him of their decision face to face.
Aaron Ramsey reiterated his desire to be provided with an explanation prior to Sunday's draw with Crystal Palace.

"Hopefully somebody will come up and tell me why," Ramsey said.
"I’ll accept that if there’s a reason.
"When the time is right, I probably will find out but that hasn’t happened yet.
"There is no contract on the table at the moment so there is nothing for me to consider or whatever.

Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United are all understood to have Ramsey on their wish lists.
Former Arsenal star Paul Merson, meanwhile, has bemoaned the decision to let the Cardiff academy graduate go.
"It seems to me that the manager has said: 'I can get better somewhere else'." Merson said earlier this month.
"The contract was on the table and Arsenal withdrew it, and it sounds like to me the manager has said: 'Hold on a minute, I’m not giving him that kind of money, I can get a better player than that'.

"But giving a player £200,000-a-week is going to be a lot less than buying a £40m player and giving him £130,000-a-week. It’s typical Arsenal isn’t it.
"How can they let the contract of a quality player like that run down? They’ve done it too many times now.
"When I was there, when there was 18 months or two years left on your contract you were called in for another one.
"My contract never, ever, went to less than 18 months at Arsenal."
