Man Utd fans SLAM Romelu Lukaku's first-half performance vs Juventus - 'get him off'
ROMELU LUKAKU’s first-half performance against Juventus didn’t leave Man United fans best pleased.
Manchester United trailed Juventus at the break courtesy of Paulo Dybala’s strike.
All eyes were on Cristiano Ronaldo as the Portuguese returned to Old Trafford, a place he used to call home.
Jose Mourinho’s men were keen to continue building on the momentum built from the comeback win against Newcastle and the draw at Chelsea.
United had led 2-1 thanks to two strikes from Anthony Martial before Ross Barkley fired a 96th minute equaliser.
Their fortunes in the Champions League have been slightly different though.
Mourinho’s side beat Young Boys 3-0 before drawing 0-0 with Valencia, relieving some pressure on their hopes of knockout qualification.
Paul Pogba is one player whose performances have been put under the spotlight in recent weeks.
But it wasn’t the former Juventus midfielder’s display that received criticism this time.

Romelu Lukaku appeared to anger United supporters on Twitter, who called for Mourinho to sub him.
“Lukaku needs to be subbed. Put Fred in midfield , Rashford up top,” one fan said.
“Lukaku plays like his boots weigh 25kg each,” another added.
A third said: “Mourinho should start benching lukaku he deserves to sit and watch how professional play.”
The Belgian has just four goals in 11 appearances this season for United.
It’s a different story though for his country having hit ten goals in his last eight matches.
“Lukaku dribbles like he’s barefoot tryna avoid glass on the floor,” one fan joked.
“That pitch invader at old Trafford showed better movement than lukaku has done all night,” another added.
