Cristiano Ronaldo: First pics as former Man Utd star RETURNS to Old Trafford pitch
CRISTIANO RONALDO stepped onto Manchester United's pitch with his Juventus team-mates.
Cristiano Ronaldo has stepped out onto the Old Trafford pitch ahead of his eagerly-anticipated return for Manchester United's clash with Juventus.
The 33-year-old has featured at the Theatre of Dreams twice since his switch to Real Madrid in 2009.
Ronaldo scored against United in a Champions League clash with Los Blancos in 2013, before featuring for the Portugese national team a year later.
He maintains a strong respect for the club and will receive a warm welcome on Wednesday night.
Ronaldo stepped onto the pitch with his Juventus team-mates to investigate his former home.
The superstar wandered around the ground soaking up the build-up to the game.
He appeared to tell stories to the rest of the squad members, presumably from his time at Old Trafford.
Ronaldo recorded 84 goals and 34 assists in 196 Premier League appearances for the Red Devils after he moved from Sporting CP.
He was warmly greeted by former boss Sir Alex Ferguson following his Euro 2016 triumph with Portugal.
The pair embraced after he lifted the trophy and could be reunited once again during Ronaldo's return to the UK.
However, once kick-off arrives, there'll be only one thing on Ronaldo's mind.
His goal sent United crashing out of the Champions League in 2012/13 and will not hesitate to punish them once again.
