LA LIGA news is coming thick and fast with the resumption of club football edging closer. Barcelona, Real Madrid, Philippe Coutinho, Cristiano Ronaldo, James Rodriguez, Arsenal and Atletico Madrid feature in our round-up.
Coutinho reveals the reason behind transfer to Barcelona
Barcelona nearly lost Coutinho
Barcelona were sensationally offered a world-record bid by PSG for Philippe Coutinho this summer, a huge report has claimed.
The Brazil international only moved to the Nou Camp from Liverpool back in January.
But Mundo Deportivo say PSG launched a bid for Coutinho, as well as Luis Suarez.
However, both players rejected the chance to move to the Parc des Princes. PSG reportedly made the bid because they feared Real Madrid would poach Neymar or Kylian Mbappe.
Real Madrid face Ronaldo blow
Real Madrid face the prospect of James Rodriguez reuniting with Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus, it has been said.
Rai Sport say the Colombia international has emerged as a target for the Serie A giants as they hunt Champions League glory.
Rodriguez is currently on loan at Bayern Munich but Real are still his parent club.
Reports have even claimed that Julen Lopetegui would welcome him back at the Bernabeu at the end of the season.
But they now face the prospect of a bid from Juventus, who are willing to pay £62million to lure him to Turin and reunite him with Ronaldo in the process.
Arsenal link
Atletico Madrid are reportedly willing to let Thomas Partey leave the club.
And Ghanasoccernet say Arsenal are ready to pounce.
Unai Emery is reportedly interested in bringing the Atletico star to the Emirates Stadium, with Atletico eyeing Juventus’ Rodrigo Bentancur as his replacement.
But PSG are also eager to snap him up.
