Man United: Luke Shaw wins Player of the Month award
Left-back Shaw joined the Red Devils from Southampton back in 2014 but his progress with the Premier League giants was severely hampered by fitness issues and poor form.
The 23-year-old has made just 75 appearances for United in his four years in Manchester, however, a strong start to the season under Jose Mourinho has seen him become a regular in the Red Devils squad.
And Shaw’s current deal with United is due to expire next summer, but he’s close to agreeing a new long-term contract with the club.
Many Manchester United supporters were quick to take to Twitter to express their delight at Shaw’s impending new deal.

“Shaw plays well for 2 months out of the five years he’s been here and he’s getting a new contract with a pay rise the clubs a f****g joke,” one fan wrote.
Another questioned: “Why, what a waste of a decent left back.”
When debating whether Shaw deserves a pay rise, one fan commented. “No, he shouldn't. He has been arguably stealing a living for the past few years. Injury aside.”
Shaw scored the winner in Manchester United’s opening Premier League fixture against Leicester back in August and his impressive performances have since earned him a recall to the England squad.
