Frank de Boer picks who will win Premier League between Liverpool, Chelsea and Man City
LIVERPOOL and Chelsea will go close to winning the Premier League title this season but Manchester City are set to win it for a second successive campaign.
Guardiola: I want City to be ALIVE against Liverpool
That is the verdict of former defender and manager Frank de Boer.
De Boer was appearing as a pundit for Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football coverage of Bournemouth’s visit of Crystal Palace this evening.
The Dutchman, who had a short spell as Palace boss last season, was asked who he sees going on to win the Premier League.
Manchester City currently sit top after seven games, ahead of Liverpool on goal difference.
Liverpool have so much quality also but if I have to choose I will choose City
Chelsea are third under new boss Maurizio Sarri and are unbeaten like City and Liverpool.
De Boer has been impressed with the two challengers but reckons City are still the team to beat.
“For me it’s still City,” he said.
“They win very easily their games.

“Chelsea have impressed me also, because they also look like they win quite easily their games.
“Liverpool have so much quality also but if I have to choose I will choose City.”
City finished a comprehensive 19 points clear at the top of the table last season.
However, De Boer can see the gap shortening between Pep Guardiola’s side and the chasing pack.
“That’s for sure (the gap is shrinking),” he continued.
“I’m convinced, especially Liverpool, hopefully Chelsea can continue with their form.
“It’s going to be a tight race.”
