Man Utd news: FOUR key players back Paul Pogba as Jose Mourinho saga drags on
MANCHESTER UNITED stars are choosing sides as the rift between Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba widens.
The duo have been at odds in recent months as speculation continues to surround the Frenchman's future at Old Trafford.
Mourinho denied there was any problem between himself and Pogba this week.
However, footage emerged of the Portuguese having a confrontation with the midfielder in training just one day later, after the former Juventus star posted a video on Instagram as his side were beaten by Derby in the Carabao Cup.
And now, according to the Daily Mail, Pogba has a four-strong group of players on his side as tensions in the dressing room have started to spread.
The publication claims Anthony Martial, Eric Bailly and Andreas Pereira are all siding with Pogba at present as they grow tired of life under Mourinho.
Martial has not seen eye-to-eye with the United boss since Alexis Sanchez's arrival in January which saw his gametime at Old Trafford decrease.
The youngster has since been fined by the club after leaving the pre-season tour of America for the birth of his daughter and has only started one league game this season.
Bailly has also dropped down the pecking order after Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof's performances this term.
While Pereira has failed to hold down a place in United's first team under Mourinho and was one of the stars spotted in Pogba's Instagram video during the Carabao Cup defeat to Derby this week.
Luke Shaw was also seen in the clip.
And the Daily Mail claim the left-back is on the periphery of Pogba's group, despite regaining his place in the first-team this season.
Speaking this week, Mourinho played down the Pogba saga, insisting the midfielder was in line to start against West Ham this afternoon.
"Tomorrow he plays. He is a player like the others," he said.
"No player is bigger than the club.
"If I am happy with his work he plays, if I am not he doesn't play.
"I am really happy with his work this week. He trained really well.
"The team needs good players. He is a good player."
