Arsenal news: Why Unai Emery will be annoyed despite Vorskla win - Martin Keown
ARSENAL boss Unai Emery will be annoyed at the two goals his side let in against Vorskla tonight.
That is according to former Arsenal defender turned BT Sport pundit Martin Keown.
The Gunners made it four wins from four in all competitions with a 4-2 win over the Ukrainian side in their first Europa League game of the season.
Emery’s men raced into a 4-0 lead with a brace from Pierqre-Emerick Aubameyang, on his European debut for the club, and one apiece from Danny Welbeck and Mesut Ozil.
But Vorskla took advantage of some slack defending and scored twice in the last 15 minutes to take some gloss off the victory.
That will be something that will annoy Emery
Arsenal are yet to keep a clean sheet in Emery’s six competitive games in charge.
And Keown says that will be something bugging the Spaniard.
“Yeah, that will be something that will annoy Emery,” Keown said.
“I think they got a little bit lackadaisical there.
“The goalkeeper (Bernd Leno), it’s hard to judge him because I’m not sure he could have saved either of those attempts at goal.”
Before tonight, Aubameyang had only scored one goal in his first five appearances of the season.
So Keown was delighted to see the Gabon international start to find some form.
“Aubameyang tonight really pleased me,” he added.
“The way he’s now really coming to the fore, scoring his goals, getting confidence.
“It’s a game you expected Arsenal to win and they won it comfortably.
“Move on to the next one.”
Arsenal will look to make it five from five on Sunday when Everton visit the Emirates.
