Mohamed Salah: Do these pics prove Liverpool star is furious after Roberto Firmino goal?
MOHAMED SALAH has caused a stir after Liverpool’s stunning victory over PSG by appearing to show his frustration after the winning goal.
Jurgen Klopp praises Liverpool after win against PSG
A video has emerged of Liverpool ace Salah slamming down a water bottle in the dugout after Roberto Firmino’s winning strike in the Champions League clash against PSG.
Firmino came off the bench to seal three points for the Reds after they had let a two-goal lead slip.
Salah’s mistake had allowed Kylian Mbappe in to equalise in the 83rd minute.
But Firmino struck in injury time to seal the famous victory and send Anfield wild.
But Salah looked a frustrated figure on the sidelines having been subbed off for Xherdan Shaqiri in the 85th minute.
He viciously slammed his water bottle down in the dugout behind manager Jurgen Klopp.
His act was caught on camera and some are claiming he looks annoyed at the situation.
But BT Sport pundit Rio Ferdinand thinks he was celebrating the late goal.
“I hope so,” Ferdinand said when asked if Salah was celebrating.
“I think you have to [look at] the way this team is, the bond they have out there on the pitch.
“I think Salah’s celebrating in his own way. His hands were up at the beginning of that. The first picture [shows] his hands were up [celebrating].”
Former Liverpool defender John Arne Riise also thought he was showing relief rather than disgust.
“I think he’s happy,” he said.
But fans on Twitter were split.
Fans on Twitter were quick to point out the forward’s actions and some certainly took it as an angry reaction.
User @rish_rathi posted: “Did Salah just throw a water bottle and his image of being the team player when Bobby scored?”
@zefutbolwriter posted: “Liverpool’s three forwards are absolutely in it for themselves. Another reason they won’t be winning anything this season.
“This reaction from Salah is ridiculous.”
@kizYNWA wrote: “What’s Salah’s problem? Either celebrate your teammates injury time goal against PSG or just **** off, class player but don’t need that kind of negativity around Anfield.”

But plenty backed Salah with @TaintlessRed posting: "Lay off Salah. He was celebrating first and then throwing the bottle is obviously just sheer relief after his error cost the equaliser for 2-2, he was gutted & Bobby saved the result. Can't believe some ppl think he's not happy we won."
@Sanaah10x added: "For all those criticising Mo Salah he was celebrating and he was angry at himself for the second goal... haters gonna hate."
And Sadio Mane has warned Salah he will have to get used sitting on the bench for the occasional rest with Liverpool challenging for titles.
He said: “We know it won't be the easiest for us with a game every three days [this season] but we have to take it seriously and try to do our best.
“But sometimes you need it [rest]. You do not like to rest but sometimes your body tells you you need to. But the manager is prepared for it and he knows his team more than most so he tries to help us cope with it.”
