Man Utd news: Ex-Real Madrid president reveals Zinedine Zidane to United doubt
REAL MADRID legend Zinedine Zidane may struggle to adapt to the Premier League if he replaces Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.
Zinedine Zidane is 'yet to rebuild' a club says Craig Burley
That is the opinion of former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon.
Zidane is the favourite to replace Jose Mourinho if he were to leave Manchester United.
Mourinho is under pressure after United lost two of their opening three games of the Premier League season.
The Portuguese is the favourite with the bookies to be the next manager to lose his job in the English top flight.
I don’t know, they are different leagues, different competitions, different style of playing football
Zidane left Real Madrid at the end of last season after winning his third successive Champions League.
But Calderon admits the English game is a lot different to the style of football in Spain.
And for that reason he does not know if Zidane would be a success at United.
“Zidane? He’s proven to be a very successful coach too,” Calderon told talkSPORT.
“No other coach has won three Champions League’s in a row.
“I don’t know, they are different leagues, different competitions, different style of playing football.
“The Premier league is completely different to any other league and very different to the Spanish La Liga.”
Manchester United will look to return to winning ways on Sunday when they visit Burnley.
Sean Dyche's side are yet to win a game in the Premier League this season.
The Clarets have lost two and drawn one, with their only point coming against Southampton.
Burnley play their Europa League play-off second leg against Olympiakos on Thursday, trailing 3-1.
