Transfers OUT:
After just one gameweek, FPL bosses are already slamming the panic button after several key stars were omitted from their teams' starting XIs for the opening weekend – but who are the most-ditched players ahead of GW2?
5. Leroy Sane (Manchester City) 82,828
The City star is tipped for a massive season but competition for places squeezed him onto the bench behind Riyad Mahrez and Raheem Sterling for the start of the season.
4. Dejan Lovren (Liverpool) 97,056
While not a bad shout further into the season, Lovren’s World Cup involvement has delayed his return to first team action.
3. Kieran Trippier (Tottenham) 118,217
As with Lovren, Trippier missed out on the line-up due to World Cup holidays. He will return to the line-up in the coming games.
2. Son Heung-Min (Tottenham) 159,059
The Spurs star will miss weeks of action due to the Asian games, and must return with gold if he is to avoid two years of compulsary military service.
1. Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City) 233,042
Bad news for over one million FPL bosses, De Bruyne could miss several months of action following an injury in training.
Transfers IN:
Plenty of stars have already caught the eye in their first game of the season, including a Liverpool ace primed to shine and a bargain star who could find himself on millions of benches if he builds on his impressive debut total.
5. Paul Pogba (Manchester United) 191,644
United kick started their season with a much-needed victory following a turbulent summer, and Pogba was at the heart of their good work.
4. Benjamin Mendy (Manchester City) 219,723
City’s left-back is fit and ready for 2018/19 after missing much of last season through injury. He showed plenty of attacking threat and bagged two assists.
3. Aaron Wan-Bissaka (Crystal Palace) 220,928
The first major bargain of the summer. The Palace right-back is in the very bottom price bracket for defenders and could be a great option on your bench.
2. Sadio Mane (Liverpool) 235,534
Two goals at the weekend appear to have reminded the masses that Mohamed Salah isn’t the only deadly presence at Anfield this season.
1. Ruben Neves (Wolves) 278,202
Wolves’ main man has been waiting for his chance to shine at the top level, and his free-kick on the opening weekend proved his quality.
