Nico Rosberg rejoins Mercedes: He'll be back alongside Lewis Hamilton tomorrow!
NICO ROSBERG will take up an ambassadorial role at Mercedes for the 2017 season with a first event alongside Lewis Hamilton tomorrow, according to reports.
Nico Rosberg will be back in the Mercedes set-up next season
Rosberg sprung a surprise on Mercedes when he retired just days after beating Lewis Hamilton to the F1 World Drivers' Championship by five points.
The team were left scrambling for a new driver and today announced that Valtteri Bottas has joined from Williams.
His first duty is expected to be at a IWC Schaffhausen sponsor event in Geneva tomorrow where the former team-mates will both be attending.
But it is not yet clear whether Rosberg will be part of the Mercedes team on race days given that his presence may be seen to overshadow new driver Bottas.

Hamilton also stated when Rosberg retired that he quit F1 so that he could spend more time with his family and so travelling to races all over the world may not fit in with his plans.
"He has a family he wants to focus on, and F1 takes so much from you," Hamilton said
"It is definitely going to be strange and it will be sad to not have him in the team next year."
