Ted Kravitz accused of ‘supporting Mercedes' in awkward altercation on live TV
Ted Kravitz found himself involved in an awkward conversation with another fan during his notebook segment after qualifying in Abu Dhabi.
Sky Sports F1 reporter Ted Kravitz was caught up in an awkward altercation with a young fan during his post-qualifying notebook segment, in which he was accused of being a Mercedes supporter.
Kravitz was discussing Mercedes' disappointing start to the weekend, explaining that George Russell was slightly underwhelmed by his fourth-place grid position for Sunday's race.
As he was doing so he came across a young fan who had managed to get a selfie with the Mercedes driver and Kravitz duly welcomed him in for a conversation live on air.
The Sky Sports reporter asked the fan whether or not he was successful in capturing the photo. When the youngster showed Kravitz his snaps, the 49-year-old then pointed out that he did so with a Ferrari cap on.

The Ferrari supporter came back with a dig at Kravitz, stating: "I think that you are a Mercedes fan" prompting a firm rebuttal from the Sky Sports presenter.
"No," Kravitz responded. "I'm not a fan. I don't like any of these teams." The fan, however, wasn't accepting this answer, adding: "Sky Sports UK... so often you support Mercedes."
Kravitz felt the need to reiterate his stance, continuing: "No, I really don't. I don't care what any of these teams do, I'm just here to report on them. You, on the other hand, are wearing a Ferrari hat so clearly you are a Ferrari [fan]."

For those who were supporting Mercedes at the Yas Marina Circuit, Saturday was a less-than-ideal day as the Silver Arrows could only manage P4 and P11 finishes during qualifying.
George Russell had demonstrated impressive pace in both FP1 and FP3 and looked to be a contender for pole position heading into the session, but he qualifyied behind both Charles Leclerc and Oscar Piastri.
Lewis Hamilton, meanwhile, endured another frustrating session and was knocked out of Q2 by his team-mate following an underwhelming lap. The seven-time world champion has struggled with the balance of the W14 all weekend long.
