Belgian Grand Prix results: Full classification – Vettel wins, Alonso in HUGE crash
BELGIAN GRAND PRIX results have been confirmed - where did your favourite drivers finish?
Sebastian Vettel has won the Belgian Grand Prix, recording a victory in the first race back after the month-long, mid-season F1 break.
The Ferrari star cruised to victory without any strong competition from Lewis Hamilton who will be disappointed to have slipped up from pole position.
The race got off to a crazy start as Nico Hulkenberg smashed into the back of Fernando Alonso, and sent the crumpled McLaren spinning off the track.
Alonso crashed over the top of Charles Leclerc's Sauber, and the trio of cars all retired immediately after the incident.
Kimi Raikkonen was also forced to retire early after an opening-lap collision with Daniel Ricciardo, though the Red Bull star remained on the track.
Max Verstappen gave the army of travelling Dutch fans plenty to cheer as he completed several excellent moves while clawing up to third.
But Vettel remained unchallenged in first place as he cruised to victory and gained valuable points on season leader Hamilton.
