England bowler Stuart Broad wants recall to one-day cricket as he eyes 2019 World Cup
STUART BROAD insists he is desperate to play one-day cricket for England again after being crowned the No1 bowler in Tests.
Stuart Broad wants a recall to one-day cricket by England
Broad has not played any limited-overs games for his country since last year's humiliating first-round exit from the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
He was snubbed again yesterday as well when Liam Plunkett was called up as a replacement for Steven Finn, who has been ruled out of the fourth Test and limited-overs series against South Africa with a side strain.
The 29-year-old Broad, who is targeting England's home World Cup in 2019, said: "I'm desperate to play white-ball cricket again for England.
"You have a short career and I'm not going to play until I'm 37 or 38, so I want to play as much cricket as I possibly can.

"I haven't had any conversations about it. I'm happy for the selectors to do their thing, but I'll probably speak about it at some point.
"There is a lot of important white-ball cricket coming England's way. The dream of mine is to play in that World Cup and win it at home. That would be epic.
"I know I can make improvements in white-ball cricket, but I can also change games if given the chance."
