TYSON FURY is desperate to return to boxing action in 2017, according to his trainer.

Tyson Fury beat Wladimir Klitschko in November 2015 to become WBA, IBF and WBO world heavyweight champion.
However, the controversial fighter vacated his titles less than a year later after admitting to taking cocaine during a bout of depression.
But his trainer and uncle Peter Fury has now revealed that Tyson is ready to fight and is eying a bout with WBC champion Deontay Wilder next year.

“As we speak now, [Tyson] is with his brother, he’s with his father and he’s training every day,” Fury said.
“He’s running, he’s training and he’s asking when I’m back in the gym.
“Expect Tyson back in the ring around April/May time next year – he’ll be back.
“Merry Christmas guys,” he said on Twitter.
“I’ve had a nightmare 2016 done a lot of stuff I'm not proud of!
“But my promise to you is I'll return 2017 takeover.”
