CONOR BENN closed out a perfect first year of professional boxing with his sixth win by stopping Steve Backhouse in just 66 seconds.

Benn is just 20 years old but made his professional debut earlier this year while still a teenager, beating Bulgarian Ivailo Boyanov at the O2 Arena.
He was due to fight at Wembley Arena in Novmber but had to pull out due to illness.

And the son of former world champion Nigel Benn was a late addition to the card in Manchester, having been announced just nine days before the bill headlined by Anthony Joshua and Eric Molina.
He faced local lad, a 26-year-old with just seven bouts and one win under his belt and the gulf in class was apparent from the off.

Backhouse was on the canvas inside the first minute after a brutal Benn left hook and when he went down again seconds later, he failed to make the count and was stopped.
"I'm happy with my performance even though it was only one round," Benn said.
