Anthony Joshua sees Otto Wallin as stepping stone to world title
Christmas has come early for boxing fans tonight as Anthony Joshua prepares to face Otto Wallin in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia as part of a bumper festive bill that features a ruck of the top heavyweight fighters in the world. British star Joshua will top the card against Swedish fighter 'All In' Wallin, but the pair are sharing the headline bill with Deontay Wilder, who faces New Zealand bruiser Joseph Parker.
No belts are at stake in the headline contests but the outcome of both fights will have huge consequences for what comes next. Both Joshua and Wilder and staking a claim to regain world championship belts but only one man can be the top challenger.
Should Joshua beat Wallin tonight and Wilder do the same in his dust-up with Parker, then the two fighters will be on a collision course to face each other next year in a potential world title eliminator contest.
The winner would have earned the right to face either Tyson Fury or Oleksandr Usyk in a world championship contest, who will face each other in a belt unification match on February 17, 2024.
Express Sport has all the key details for tonight's fight.
