Anthony Joshua fight with Tyson Fury promised
Anthony Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn insists the unified heavyweight champion will throw down with Tyson Fury before he calls time on his career. “Win or lose, they’ll definitely fight,” Hearn said of a potential fight between the British heavyweights during an interview with iFL TV.
“If Fury wins against Wilder or loses against [Deontay] Wilder, I promise you AJ and Fury will fight at some point in the future.
“Unquestionably. I can’t necessarily say the same thing about Wilder. I just don’t know.
“But I know Fury will fight AJ and I know AJ really wants to fight Fury. They both realise how big that fight is for Britain.”
Tyson Fury tears into Deontay Wilder
I promise you AJ and Fury will fight at some point in the future
Lineal heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has torn into WBC king Deontay Wilder ahead of their February rematch, once again branding the American a ‘dosser’.
“This is a special message to Deontay Wilder, the big dosser,” he said in the post on Instagram.
“He’s going round saying he fights all the best heavyweights, but Dominic Breazeale ain’t no best heavyweight and neither is Luis Ortiz.
“Dominic Breazeale is average at best and the other guy, Luis Ortiz, is average at best.
“145 years old, someone you already knocked out you bum. You go around fighting the best do you, giving the best the opportunities? You’ve only fought one good man in your career and that’s me and I beat you and everybody in the world knows you lost to the ‘Gypsy King’.
“A half-mast Gypsy King. A Gypsy King that was out of the ring for three year still beat you on 50 per cent.
“You’re getting busted next time I meet ya. I’ll have everything I’ve got on I beat you ya big dosser.
“I ain’t afraid of you. I ain’t bothered about you bum. I wasn’t bothered about you back then and I definitely ain’t bothered about you now. You big dosser.
“You’re getting it. You. Big. Dosser. You know you lost. You’re trainer knows you lost… Coming for you p****.”
Eddie Hearn eyes Canelo Alvarez deal
Matchroom Boxing chief Hearn has admitted he’d love to sign Canelo Alvarez should the former WBO light-heavyweight champion part company with Golden Boy Promotions.
“He’s a huge draw, does unbelievable numbers, and he’s the pound-for-pound number one at the moment,” Hearn said of the Mexican during an interview with Business Insider.
“He’s a very good fighter. In that respect, he’d be the one to get.
“It would be [the obvious fit] because he’d have to deal with DAZN and we’ve got a deal with DAZN as well.
“I would never have conversation with a fighter who was under contract.
“But if he was to become available, would we want to work with Canelo? F***ing hell, in an absolute heartbeat.”
