Boxing news: Anthony Joshua EXCLUSIVE, Deontay Wilder slammed, Tyson Fury confident
BOXING NEWS - Express Sport brings you the latest ongoings in the boxing world.
Dana White backed to complete Anthony Joshua deal
UFC president Dana White is more than capable of luring Anthony Joshua away from Matchroom Boxing and signing him for Zuffa Boxing, the promotion's long-time commentator Bruce Buffer reckons.
"Money talks and people walk," Buffer told Express Sport. "A lot of money cuts a lot of family ties, as they say. And Dana is a maverick businessman.
"And being the maverick businessman that he is, as well as the Fertittas, and being involved with WME and the people who own the UFC now. I will not be surprised by anything.
"And the answer to your question is yes. Dana is completely capable of making big moves. Because that's all Dana has ever done."
Dominic Breazeale slams Deontay Wilder
Dominic Breazeale has branded Deontay Wilder a disgrace to boxing and has vowed to send him into retirement next weekend.
"I think he finds it humbling and I think it ends his career, it retires him," Breazeale told Sky Sports when asked how Wilder will feel if he beats him.
"A guy like Wilder, the surrounding that he has, he's not used to being down in the dumps and being a depressed individual. I think it cripples him, it sends him into some type of a depression and he never comes back to fight again."
I think December we’re gonna see the rematch
Tyson Fury optimistic about Deontay Wilder rematch
Former lineal heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is confident a rematch with WBC king Wilder will come to fruition this December.
"I think 2019. I think December we’re gonna see the rematch," he told the Behind The Gloves podcast. “We’re gonna see me kick his ass again. This time though, he won’t be able to live with me.
“I’d just had two little fight comebacks [before the first bout]. I’ve [now] been back well over a year, I’m strong at the weight and I don’t have to lose any weight.
“He had his biggest opportunity of his life to beat me and he couldn’t do it.
“Never again will he have that opportunity of a Tyson Fury only 40 per cent of what he should be.
“After three years out the ring of drug and alcohol abuse, and mental health problems, and ten stone weight loss.
“And he still couldn’t beat me. How much better am I than these guys?”
