Anthony Joshua slammed by Andy Ruiz
Anthony Joshua's new opponent Andy Ruiz has claimed the WBA (Super), WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight champion has more flaws than his WBC counterpart Deontay Wilder.
He told Fight Hub TV: “Every fighter has their own flaws, you know, but in my eyes I felt that Anthony Joshua had the bigger flaws than Tyson Fury, than Wilder, so this is the reason I was calling him out even before I got the fight.
"So after when they’re telling me ‘who would you want to fight, Anthony, Wilder, or Tyson Fury?’ I kept saying Anthony Joshua, Anthony Joshua because I believe that the way that he fights, the way that his style, the way he moves, I know that I can get in there and crack him.”
Deontay Wilder explains why Tyson Fury rematch didn't happen
WBC heavyweight king Wilder has claimed his rematch with Tyson Fury didn't come to fruition because he concussed 'The Gypsy King' during their classic last December.
“I whooped Fury, I was the aggressor. The highlight of the first fight was me knocking Fury down," said the Alabama native.
“Tyson don’t want me; he knows I gave him a concussion. I understand why he made the decision he did.
Tyson don’t want me; he knows I gave him a concussion
“I hurt Tyson Fury very badly. I gave him a concussion. This man had memory loss.
"And that’s not healthy. So if he needs a warm-up or a tune-up to get some of his marbles back, go do it. Take as many warm-ups as you need.
“He says he’s got three more fights. And those fights will lead up to me. And this time I’m going to finish it. So go get healthy.
"Because I want the best Tyson Fury when the time comes.”
Canelo Alvarez slammed by Billy Joe Saunders' promoter
Billy Joe Saunders' promoter Frank Warren has insisted WBA middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez has ducked the Hatfield native.
“The problem I have is there’s two fighters in particular, Golovkin, they sent us contracts and we signed and sent them back on two occasions.
"I don’t think they want it and I know that Canelo don’t want it. And that’s the problem,” Warren said. “So we’ve got to look to make another meaningful fight for him, which we will do. In the meantime the Billy Joe Saunders that fought [David] Lemieux has been out the ring for quite a while now.
"He’s moving up a weight. He’s still a young man. The Billy Joe that fought Lemieux has got the beating of those two fellas [Canelo and Danny Jacobs] I saw at the weekend.”
