Boxing news: Anthony Joshua drops first social media post since Jarrell Miller drug test
ANTHONY JOSHUA has broken his social media silence following the news of Jarrell Miller’s failed drug test.

On Wednesday, it was announced that New York native Miller failed a Voluntary Anti-Doping Association test he took late last month.
Miller’s positive sample discovered traces of the metabolic modulator GW1516, an agent which allows skeletal muscle to use fat as an energy source rather than carbohydrates.
The prohibited substance also increases one’s cardiovascular endurance, a necessity in boxing.
Anthony Joshua has yet to publicly comment on Miller’s second failed drug test, which has scuppered their June 1 showdown at Madison Square Garden.
Late last night, however, he did post a video of himself doing neck bridges to his Instagram and Twitter pages.
The rigorous workout was made famous by former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, who ‘AJ’ paid homage to with his caption.
He wrote: “Iron Mike inspired.”
Joshua’s proposed fight with Miller will almost certainly not take place as the New York State Athletic Commission have denied the former kickboxer a license to compete.
Miller has denied intentionally ingesting the substance found in his system or ever having knowingly taken performance-enhancing drugs.
“I want to thank all of my supporters who have stood by me since day one and especially during this extremely difficult time,” Miller wrote on Instagram.
“I have not been tuned in to social media and any other media outlets to focus and channel all of my energies into working hard with no distractions.
“I am absolutely devastated upon hearing the news my boxing license has been revoked in NY State and I will be vigorously appealing this decision.
“I have NEVER knowingly taken any banned substance and when I found out the news last night I was totally shocked.
“My team and I stand for integrity, decency & honesty and together we will stand to fight this with everything we have!
“This was a voluntarily test that I was very happy to do and these results came just one week after another voluntarily test that I had taken which was completely clean.
“I refuse to just lie down and let my dream be taken away from me when I know in my heart that I’ve done nothing wrong.
“15 years of hard work. I’m WARRIOR .. I don’t need a banned substance.
“Remember don’t believe everything you hear and see. The facts will prevail and I shall be vindicated.
"I don’t have anything to hide and the truth will make itself known.”
Team Joshua are currently in the process of trying to find a replacement for Miller, who is still awaiting the results of his B sample.
