Boxing news - Anthony Joshua slammed by Jarrell Miller
Anthony Joshua has been branded ‘posh’ by Jarrell Miller ahead of their June 1 showdown at Madison Square Garden.
"He is from an area not known for being tough," Miller said during an appearance on Boxing with Costello and Bunce podcast.
"He is just talking himself up but people love you being real."
He later added: “I’m more intelligent than AJ, but sometimes I come across as arrogant because I'm a warrior.
"There is no such thing as being humble at war.
"The mental focus is about picturing the aftermath, but before I get to the glory, I have to show the grit."
Boxing news - Deontay Wilder makes Tyson Fury fight admission
I want Joshua, of course, I want to unify the belts
WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder has revealed he’d prefer to have a unification bout with Joshua than rematch Tyson Fury, who he fought to a controversial draw last December.
“I want Joshua, of course, I want to unify the belts,” ‘The Bronze Bomber’ told Blue Blood Sports TV when asked who he’d prefer to face next.
“They know what we want, it’s easy, it’s easy to make that fight.
“They know what they want, but until they can swallow their pride like I did before, we’ve just gotta do what we gotta do.
“I did it, you didn’t wanna go through with it, but I did it.
“Now it’s time for you to swallow your f***ing pride and give the world one of the best heavyweight fights.
“I’mma knock his ass out that’s for sure. I promise you.”
Boxing news - Canelo vs Floyd Mayweather 2 talked up
Canelo Alvarez’s promoter Oscar De La Hoya has admitted a rematch between the Mexican and Floyd Mayweather Jr would be a lucrative bout.
“There’s a lot of money to be made,” De La Hoya said.
“I mean, look, he’s retired, but if he wants to come back there’s a lot of money to be made.
“So the way you should have picked up the phone to make a fight with Ryan [Garcia], pick up the phone and make a fight with Canelo. Easy as that.”
