Jarrell Miller vows to give Anthony Joshua a 'Brooklyn beatdown'
Boxing news - Anthony Joshua statement from Eddie Hearn
Anthony Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn has claimed it’s very likely ‘AJ’ will fight Jarrell Miller in New York next.
"Right now we have got our heads around this happening," Hearn told BBC Radio 5 live.
"For many years people have said AJ needed to fight in the US.
"He definitely needs to build his profile in the US but knowing how he looks, behaves and fights he will be a superstar in America.
"We are not done with a deal yet but there is a strong chance."
Hearn believes a fight a with Miller at Madison Square Garden will do wonders for Joshua’s legacy, saying: "I really believe it will be a major moment for Joshua's career.
"Legacy is about creating iconic moments and Joshua in New York is an iconic moment. He is going to go there and completely turn the US boxing scene on its head as they are going to see a real star."

‘Big Baby’ has branded Joshua a ‘hype job’ and has vowed to expose him in their seemingly imminent bout.
“He wants to come to America and I think it’s going to be great for USA boxing, especially for American boxing,” Miller told Sirius XM Boxing. "And like I said before, I’ve been waiting for the moment to shock the world.
“'AJ' is a real big hype job. And when he fights a real gritty, hungry, mean person like me, it’s going to be a whole different story, man.”

Boxing news - Gennady Golovkin urged to retire
Former unified middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin has been urged to consider hanging up his gloves by legendary boxing coach Teddy Atlas.
“I think Golovkin should start thinking about [retiring],” Atlas said on the latest episode of his podcast. “He’s made a lot of money, but there’s a lot of miles on the odometer too.
“He had over 400 amateur fights and won a silver medal in the Olympics. He’s 37 or 38. I don’t think he’s going to get better.
“When it comes to that match-up with him and Canelo, he ain’t getting better.
“The horse has left the barn. The best of him is gone.
“Did he get robbed the first time? [against Canelo]. I think so. Did he get a bad decision in the second one? I think so.
“What, they don’t count jabs no more? But I think he’s eroding; he being Golovkin. He’s been dissipating and sliding in front of us.”
