Tyson Fury says fight with Anthony Joshua unlikely to happen
Boxing news - Anthony Joshua agrees to Jarrell Miller fight
Anthony Joshua has reportedly agreed to fight Jarrell Miller in New York in June.
On Friday night, Fox Sports’ Mike Coppinger tweeted: “Breaking: Anthony Joshua and Jarrell ‘Big Baby’ Miller have agreed to terms for a heavyweight championship fight at New York’s Madison Square Garden, per sources.
“The fight will be streamed on DAZN and likely take place June 1, but June 8 also in play.
"Will be Joshua’s U.S. debut.”
Joshua, the WBA (Super), WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight champion, hasn’t fought since beating Alexander Povetkin in September 2018.
He is currently scheduled to fight at Wembley, the venue for his unforgettable 2017 victory over Wladimir Klitschko, on April 13.
However, he’s not yet landed an opponent for the date, which has further fuelled rumours of a fight with Miller at MSG.
To my understanding, as of right now everything is good
Boxing news - Deontay Wilder makes Tyson Fury rematch statement
WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder has claimed his eagerly-anticipated rematch with Tyson Fury is close to coming to fruition.
“Most definitely, it’s definitely going to happen again,” he told talkSPORT. “Unless Fury backs out of it, or anything of that sort of nature.
“But, to my understanding, as of right now everything is good.
“It’s looking like maybe Vegas, maybe Barclays Center in New York – who knows?
“It will definitely be back here, our pay-per-view prices are just way higher than over in the UK.
“You guys pay only like $25, but we can go from $50 to $100 easy and that’s with everything!
“We felt that the best way for both of us – we are all in agreement on this – that we can reap and benefit more rewards.”
Boxing news - Manny Pacquiao pours cold water on Jeff Horn rematch
WBA (regular) welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao has insisted he has no intention of rematching Jeff Horn, who beat him in July 2017.
“I was willing to do a rematch with them, but they didn’t want to,” said Pacquiao said.
“And now that I’m back on top and they are coming off a loss, they are asking for a rematch. No way.”
