Poldark season 4: Stars announce ‘epic’ new direction for upcoming season
POLDARK fans can rejoice as the show’s triumphant return begins this weekend, and the stars have begun teasing a bold new direction for the series.
Jack Farthing: Poldark’s move to London is ‘epic’
The final scenes of Poldark’s last season saw Ross (played by Aidan Turner) promising to stand for parliament.
While fans don’t yet know what to expect in the upcoming season, stars of the show have teased a change to the show.
Ossie Whitworth star Christian Brassington, and George Warleggan star Jack Farthing appeared on Lorraine this morning to reveal what is coming up in the new season.
Jack revealed: “George is trying to put all that jealousy and resentment behind him.
“He had a terrible ending last season, had a bit of a wobble, and he’s putting it all behind him.”
Jack went on to explain George and his wife are working hard to become a “sophisticated aristocratic couple”.
Jack also discussed the upcoming themes of the series, and spoke about the location change from Cornwall to London.
He explained: “In London it becomes national, it becomes political.
“[London] makes it epic, more expansive.
“And it was exciting to actually see Poldark in different places.”

Chris then went on to speak about his character, Ossie, and told of his direction in the new season.
He said: “He’s so vein and full of himself.
“He stops at nothing to get what he wants.
“Debbie our writer does such a good job at making our characters so well rounded.”
The stars’ comments follow Aidan Turner’s announcement that he had to choose a specific horse for his role.
Despite initially becoming infatuated with another horse before adopting Seamus as his noble steed.
He explained to Radio Times: “Initially, I preferred a horse called Jonny Wilkinson, because he’s a lot bigger and quite a goer.
“The two of us together made trainer Mark [Atkinson] quite nervous, so he persuaded me to go with Seamus.”
He went on to reveal that Seamus was chosen because he was smaller, making Aidan look larger on screen.
Poldark season four returns June 10 at 9pm on BBC One.
