THE BRIT AWARDS 2018 kicked off tonight with a shady comment from host Jack Whitehall.

The 29-year-old BRITs presenter chose former S Club 7 star Paul Cattermole as his first victim.
Paul famously tried to sell his BRIT award on eBay earlier this year, prompting Jack to take aim at none other than the awards ceremony that issued the gong.
Dua Lipa had just been congratulated the first winner of the night.
Jack jibed: “Congratulations Dua Lipa and commiserations to the losers.

Remember if you don’t win a Brit award tonight you can always buy one on eBay
“Remember if you don’t win a Brit award tonight you can always buy one on eBay.”
Speaking to the tune of one of S Club 7’s tracks, he then joked about a BRIT awards auction.
He added: “There ain’t no auction like an S Club auction.”
Paul put his S Club 7 Brit Award for Best Newcomer on eBay last month.

The singer asked fans to bid for the award with a price listed as £650.
After five days of no bids, the bids jumped to £2,100, before hitting the tens of thousands just hours later.
Finally hitting £66,000 on January 11, Paul thought he could be in for a mega payout.
However, a sneaky account known as r***i put a bid in on January 15 at 5am, taking the total to £66,100.

This account won Paul’s BRIT award, but unfortunately all was not as it seemed.
Paul was forced to re-list the award after the bidder failed to pay up.
BRITs host Jack also took aim at The Voice host Olly Murs over his fake Oxford Street terrorist attack tweets earlier this year.
Following Rag N Bone man’s pyrotechnic-filled performance, Jack joked: “That was a controlled blaze, by the way.
“Apparently Olly Murs was in the toilet tweeting to evacuate. Please ignore that.”
The BRIT Awards is available to watch on ITV now.
