The ITV series finally returns this weekend with Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby returning to the rink after Dancing On Ice was “rested” for four years.
However, come this Sunday, the likes of Donna Air and Coronation Street stars Antony Cotton and Brooke Vincent will get their skates on as the competition gets under way.
As for Holly, 36, and Phillip, 55, they’ll be leaving their blades at home; even though they’ll be walking on the ice.
As viewers speculate about the death defying stunt, Phillip uncloaked the secret behind the magic during today’s This Morning.

Oh alright, I’ll tell you, I’ll tell you now
“Do you Phillip, for your presentational position, do you ever have to wear skates?” asked host Eamonn Holmes.
“Oh alright, I’ll tell you, I’ll tell you now,” Phillip grinned, as if he’d been strenuously pushed.
“If Holly and I go on to the ice they put white carpet out and we go on in our normal shoes on white carpet,” Phillip explained.

“If we have to go out without the white carpet, we have one of those special grip things they put on the bottom of your shoes so you don’t fall over.”

Dancing On Ice returns Sunday at 9pm on ITV.
