ITV suffers technical glitch during This Morning
Holly Willoughby, 36, and Phillip Schofield, 55, were interrupted by a disastrous technical blunder today when they were joined by Ben Fogle to debate the sentience of animals.
Out of the blue, screens went black and then cut to an error image which simply read: "Greenwhich Data Centre Switch."
It then changed to a message from ITV which stated: "We're sorry for the disruption.
"We're working hard to fix the issue and will return to normal programming soon," the statement told viewers.

A voiceover proceeded to say: "Sorry for the disruption here on ITV we are working hard to fix the issue."
When the silence drew out even longer, he repeated: "We are having a few problems this morning with This Morning."
As it seemed that ITV were still struggling to rectify the problem, he was left repeating his apology over and over, while viewers flooded to social media to complain.
"Hurry up ITV and fix #ThisMorning, it will soon be This Afternoon," said one fan, while another blasted: "Ffs the one morning I can watch #ThisMorning and it breaks. Turn the switch on and off @Schofe."
"What's happened? Very long disruption," said a third, as a fourth seethed: "How many people have turned over #ThisMorning."

Approximately 10 minutes after the programme crashed, it finally returned, although it appeared that Phillip and Holly weren't aware that people could see them again.
The This Morning favourites could be seen in the middle of a segment with former I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star Vicky Pattison, 30.
When they finally realised that the viewers were back, Holly explained that they had continued on with the show in their absence.
"We think the country have rejoined us," said Phillip hesitantly. "We have no clue what happened."
ITV told Express.co.uk: "We would like to apologise to This Morning viewers after the programme went off air for 12 minutes today as a result of an issue at BT Tower, which affected the live feed to ITV. We are in contact with BT to establish the cause of this issue."
This Morning airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.
