Strictly: Pete Wicks nearly trips Jowita up

Strictly Come Dancing star Pete Wicks almost tripped up his professional partner Jowita Przystal during their energetic Samba to the George of The Jungle theme tune.

The dance hilariously began with Pete, 36, standing on Craig Revel Horwood's table and shaking his behind while clad in a risky leopard print outfit.

The TOWIE star then swung on a vine onto the dancefloor and launched into a wild routine filled with jumps and hip action.

All seemed to be going well until Pete's leg got in Jowita's way during a tricky move and nearly sent her tumbling.

Despite a second of panic, Jowita kept her balance and carried on like the pro she is.

The moment did not go unnoticed by viewers and many took to social media to react.

One tweeted: "Pete nearly sent Jowita flying [crying emoji]," while another said: "Jowita nearly hitting the floor aside I can’t ever be mad at Pete."

A third wrote: "Pete and Jowita’s dance was just pure chaos but I loved it. George of the Jungle is one of my absolute favourites."

A fourth commented: "Well he’s game lol! Did Jowita almost trip and go flying over his leg? What exactly happened there? He went for it and loosened up, so it deserves a well done."

While a fifth said: "Pete and Jowita, kind of iconic."

Strictly Come Dancing 2024 'winner' already worked out before first show

Love Island's Tasha Ghouri and EastEnders' Jamie Borthwick have both caught the attention of bookies in the early odds on who will win Strictly Come Dancing.

Both have proved to be contentious choices for this year's Strictly Come Dancing. Tasha, a trained professional dancer, has faced questions on Instagram about whether her previous experience gives her an "unfair advantage."

But who will win? Get the latest odds and poll results on the Strictly 2024 winner.

The routine got a mixed response from the judges with Craig quipping he was "still in recovery from the opening".

He said: "Darling, it lacked bounce and coordination, a trip hazard but your personal best."

Mosti was more complimentary, praising: “Wow, we told you to loosen up so I blame us, you went in and out of the music.”

Shirley echoed: “You’re unrecognisable, took risks, full of content, you’re improving and I commend you."

Pete and Jowita got a decent score of 26, receiving 6, 6, 7, 7.

Strictly Come Dancing continues Sunday at 7.15pm.
