Richard Madeley: I would 'deck' anyone upskirting my wife
The 61-year-old got passionate during a debate about the worrying new trend of upskirting, whereby inappropriate and intimate photos are taken up women’s skirts.
He was speaking to a victim of the disgusting crime and former senior detective at the Metropolitan Police Susan Hill, when the former This Morning host asked what would happen if he attacked a perpetrator taking snaps of his wife Judy Finningan.
"What would happen to me if I was standing on the Tube with my wife and she was in a skirt and I saw very clearly some creep putting a camera up between her legs and she wasn't aware of it and taking a picture and I decked him?” he asked.
Richard swiftly added: "Because I would. Would I get prosecuted?"
Ex-policewoman Sue confirmed he would, saying: “You probably would, yeah."
However, Richard appeared undeterred as he said: "Good, I will take that chance."
