GOOD KARMA HOSPITAL came to an end last night much to the disappointment of those at home, however there is already some exciting news to report.

Fans call for second series after The Good Karma Hospital finale
ITV has commissioned a second series of the India-set drama starring Amanda Redman and Neil Morrissey, it has been confirmed.
The initial six-part offering follows disillusioned doctor Ruby Walker, and it has achieved consolidated audiences of around 6.7 million and a 26 per cent audience share.
Good Karma Hospital season two will return in 2018 with the aforementioned stars, as well as Amrita Acharia, James Floyd, Darshan Jariwalla, Sagar Radia and Nimmi Harasagama.
The next run will begin filming in August with further casting news announced closer to production.

The exciting news comes after fans demanded Good Karma Hospital return after being a ratings hit.
The final instalment ended with heartbreak as Phyllis Logan’s character Maggie Smart passed away peacefully on the beach.
But the door was left fully open for another series as protagonist Dr Ruby (played by Amrita Acharia) decided to stay in the country.
