THE GOOD KARMA HOSPITAL viewers have demanded that the medical drama return for a second series after tonight's emotional finale.

The sixth instalment ended with heartbreak as Phyllis Logan’s character Maggie Smart passed away peacefully on the beach.
But the door was left fully open for another series as protagonist Dr Ruby Walker (played by Amrita Acharia) decided to stay in India.
The programme teased a potential romance with Dr Varma (James Floyd), who was pleased Ruby had chosen to break up with her boyfriend.
Meanwhile, Dr Lydia Fonseca (Amanda Redman) declared her love for Greg McConnell (Neil Morrissey) in front of a packed bar.
